WALL STREET JOURNAL: TEXAS CAPITAL BANCSHARES INC. POLL SHOWS CLIENT OUTLOOK IS OPTIMISTIC
In a March 15 Wall Street Journal article, CEO Keith Cargill remarked on the optimistic outlook among Texas Capital Bank’s client base. The article (subscription required for access) outlines that bankers anticipate business loan growth as a result of de-regulation in all industries, but that pickup might not take place for a while.
“At Dallas-based Texas Capital Bancshares Inc., Chief Executive Keith Cargill recently took an informal poll of the business outlook of 50 clients from privately held small and midsize businesses. All but one of them said they planned to expand in 2017, the most optimistic showing in years. Mr. Cargill said he is not expecting that to translate into a marked increase in loan growth for at least three to six months, when plans for tax overhaul and regulatory relief may become clearer.”
